The National Ethnobotanical Herbarium Online (NEHO) is the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History’s opening salvo into a new initiative to catalog and preserve culturally-relevant flora from across the globe and present them online in an archive that is both searchable and browseable. The La Ventosa collection is the first such collection to be collected and focuses plant life relevant to the Zapotec people of Oaxaca, Mexico.
